South Florida International Boat Show

The 50th Anniversary edition of the world’s largest boat show is in the books. This years’ show featured more than 3 billion dollars worth of boats, yachts, super yachts, electronics, engines and thousands of boating accessories from every major marine manufacturer and boat builder worldwide.

The entire staff attended this years’ boat show. “I like to have the entire team together at an event of this magnitude.” said James Porreca, owner Unlimited Marine Services, Inc. “Our technicians deal with these vendors on a regular basis so when we get a chance to pick their brain, we take it. We took the company boat to the boat show - can you think of a better way to get there?” One of the most impressive things we saw at the show was Palladiums’ entertainment system, “Apollo” with the interactive, touch screen table. The graphics were very impressive and best of all, no lost remotes.

The surprise release of the new KVH HD Satellite system was amazing to say the least. This system uses new LNB technology allowing users to view HD programs along with regular channels simultaneously by tracking all three satellites at once. The new Simrad IS80 large format instruments are one of the first to be IMO compliant. They are tough, easy-to-read instruments that will serve you for many years to come.
